What are the job responsibilities?
- Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, this role is responsible for interacting with customers through telephone, electronically or face to face.
- Process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services.
- Input orders and change-orders received from customers and Sales Representatives, set-up sales order, payers, and essential data in SAP for initial order.
- Take phone orders in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Perform dispatch duties and serve as back-up Dispatcher as required.
- Provide marketing support for samples, catalogs, and information requests. Maintain marketing inventory.
- Work with Outside Sales Teams to coordinate customer requests and to help provide superior customer service.
- Participate in semi-annual inventory counts.
- Abide by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What do you bring to the role?
- High school education or equivalent required, some college level courses are beneficial.
- Previous customer service, administrative, or sales experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of the concrete, paving, or construction industries are an asset.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and reliability are ideal.
- Must have strong computer skills, especially in Excel, Word and Outlook.
- SAP experience an asset.
- Strong aptitude for organizing personal tasks and repetitive duties in a dynamic environment.
- Must have strong communication, teamwork, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to consistently delivering the highest quality customer service.
