CV TECH – NON REG – LEVEL I

• This position will help provide coverage both at the medical center and also as needed with the Paragould NIC unit.
• JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • education
    • A minimum of 6 months of in-house orientation/training, but not yet considered registry eligible by CCI or Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals.
  • experience
    • Competency checklist completed by peer trainer. Physician confidence is high to work independently with all procedures to begin call rotation.
  • Physical
    • This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information.
    • Normal hospital environment. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Frequent exposure to mechanical hazards. Operates computer, treadmill, spirometer, telephone, Holter scanner. Frequent standing, walking, bending and stooping. Lifting, carrying up to 20 lbs.
• JOB SUMMARY
  • The technologist performs all aspects of cardiovascular/pulmonary recordings including locating and distinguishing tracings indicative of cardiovascular/pulmonary disorders and recognizes and discounts interference, which affects tracings.
