Data Analytics Intern

PACCAR Electronics Organization is seeking a talented individual to join our Summer 2025 Internship Program as a Data Analytics Intern!

• Internships are in-person for 40 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks
• Location: Kirkland, WA

About the Team 

PACCAR Electronics organization, which serve Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF, is a rapidly expanding organization that is transforming the way control systems and software are developed for commercial vehicle applications. This includes developing the latest vehicle controls, display technology, and autonomous truck solutions that exceed customer expectations. Job Summary

Diagnostic Analytics Intern works on developing statistical analysis across multiple data sources for improving the performance and operation of PACCAR products. You will collaborate with an international, cross-functional PACCAR teams to create and maintain user interfaces to facilitate user-driven analysis and reports. Your work will positively improve the customer’s operation and their support of the product.

What You’ll Do

• Analysis of large data sets generated by vehicle remote diagnostics
• Proactively identifies and recommends analysis improvements
• Creates reports and presents findings to multiple levels of management

Required Qualifications

• Third or fourth year of bachelor’s degree completed (graduation date 2025 – 2026) in one of the following STEM disciplines:
• Data Analytics, Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, Software, Mechanical), Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Demonstrate a high level of independence, motivation, and excellent analytical and written communication skills, alongside sound engineering judgment
• Demonstrated team player with a high level of initiative, follow-through, and flexibility
• Exceptional organizational, problem-solving skills and a drive to develop innovative solutions
• Self-directed, excellent analysis and technical judgment required
• Proficiency in presentation skills is required
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, cross-functional team environment
• Competency with standard office software (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
• Able to learn and use new processes and techniques and resourcefully solve complex technical issues
• Commitment to reliability, value, and quality in all aspects of work
• Willingness to grow continuously, both personally and professionally with strong results and goal-driven orientation

Additional Attributes 

• Proficient in SQL for querying and optimizing databases to extract meaningful insights
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI for data visualization and reporting purposes

Compensation and Benefit 

• The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $30.00/hour (pay varies by undergraduate and graduate degree)
