Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, data modeling, and database design, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their data needs, designing robust data solutions, and ensuring the efficient operation of data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze their data requirements and business objectives.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures that support business needs.
Develop and maintain data models, database schemas, and data integration workflows.
Ensure data quality, data governance, and alignment to regulatory standards.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineering teams.
Balance models that optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing performance vs solution implementation constraints
Stay updated with the latest advancements in data architecture and related technologies.
Conduct data architecture reviews and audits to ensure best practices are followed.
Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience in a consulting role as a technical specialist, architect, or developer
Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role
In-depth knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
Experience with data modeling tools and techniques
Strong understanding of data governance and data quality management
Proficiency in data integration and ETL processes
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron technical staff
The ability to contribute on multiple projects of differing scale and duration
Huron requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience
Willingness to travel up to 50%
Preferred Skills
Experience in an Enterprise Architecture capacity, particularly in modeling business process and supporting data models
Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices
Certification in data architecture or related fields
Experience in developing data strategies and roadmaps
Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts.
