Robert Half is seeking a Contract Data Center Analyst to join our client’s IT team. As a Contract Data Center Analyst, you will be responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of the data center infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the efficiency, security, and reliability of the data center environment. This is a contract position offering an exciting opportunity to work with a respected organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Data Center Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the data center, including hardware maintenance, equipment upgrades, and system installations.

Infrastructure Monitoring: Monitor data center performance, including servers, storage systems, networking devices, and power/cooling infrastructure, ensuring optimal operation and reliability.

Incident Response: Respond promptly to data center incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.

Capacity Planning: Assess and forecast data center capacity requirements, making recommendations for upgrades or changes to meet current and future business needs.

Security Implementation: Implement and maintain data center security protocols, including access controls, firewalls, and physical security measures.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of data center configurations, changes, and incidents for auditing and troubleshooting purposes.

Disaster Recovery Planning: Contribute to the development and testing of disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of data center failures or disasters.

Vendor Coordination: Work with vendors and service providers to procure equipment, manage service contracts, and coordinate maintenance activities.
Requirements
Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Data Center Analyst or in a similar role within a data center environment.

Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure components, including servers, storage systems, and networking devices.

Proficiency in data center operations, capacity planning, and incident response.

Understanding of data center security best practices and protocols.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA Data Center) are a plus.

Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
