THE ROLE:

AMD’s Data Center Platform Engineering Group (DPEG) is designing, building and delivering innovative technology infrastructure enabling the digital world. We create cloud-enabling server solutions that help the world’s leading companies turn their ideas into reality. THE PERSON:

The Site Supervisor is responsible for monitoring day-to-day operations of multiple servers within the production space. They will lead a large team with multiple technicians to provide break fix of servers in a high-volume environment while maintaining all quality standards and delivery of SLA agreements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the break-fix work by supporting the technician team
  • Ensure daily SLA goals are achieved
  • Ensure all servers are being met with the highest of quality break fix standards
  • Ensure team maintains accurate inventory levels
  • Develop team members and continuously evaluate their performance
  • Perform thorough cost management and waste control and building of personnel
  • Assess operations and suggest opportunities for quality and performance improvements
  • Engage in personnel performance management
  • Assists the Service Manager with overall management as needed


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous managerial experience (preferably in a technological environment)
  • Experience with continuous improvement and lean processes is beneficial but not required
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math and strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Possess a high level of integrity and strong work ethic

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelors degree
