Data Entry for Test Engineering Department (Temporary Position)

NATURE OF WORK:

Responsible for getting equipment quotes, entering data into SCI’s electronic tool to generate a purchasing request, and tracking the resulting PO through delivery of the product back to the Test Engineers.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Responsible for data entry for purchase requisitions.
• Interfaces with Suppliers to request pricing as needed and get pricing corrections submitted on quotes.
• Interface with Test Engineers to inure accurate data for pricing quotes.
• Monitor purchase requisitions throughout the process, clear hurdles and resolve issues that may arise.
• Have a fair understanding of common business practices and ethical work practices.

education and experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent degree, College or Vocational schooling preferred
• Strong Computer Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications with an emphasis on Excel
• Basic understanding of manufacturing electronic components and instrumentation equipment
• 1-2 years prior experience in a business environment is preferred
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• 1^st Shift Monday-Friday with every other Friday off.
