EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Currently a candidate for a Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field at an accredited school in the US.
As a part of our team, you will:
- Work with a team of software engineers and/or other interns/co-ops developing Application software and services that manage and monitor Nokia’s telecom networks.
- Operate in a SaaS-first mindset to deliver technology that will be developed as well as operated by your team.
- Develop automated tests to functionally validate the capabilities you engineer.
- Learn good design and software engineering practices under the guidance of a senior software architect.
- Understand the inner workings of Nokia’s state-of-the-art 5G telecom networks that help the world act together
- Strong programming skills demonstrated through academic coursework, personal projects, or internships, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures, with the ability to apply these concepts to solve real-world problems efficiently.
- A proactive and curious mindset, with a can-do attitude toward learning new technologies, tools, and concepts in a fast-paced environment.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Completed coursework or gained prior experience in computer networking, including familiarity with protocols, architectures, or network troubleshooting.
- Exposure to or hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or data processing pipelines.
- Interest or experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML), whether through projects, research, or personal exploration.
