Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Dean of Students. – Boca Raton, FL.
Responsible to the Vice President for Student Affairs, or appropriate administrator, the Dean of Students serves on the Student Affairs Leadership Team and coordinates the administration of the Dean of Students Office, serves as an advocate for students, and shares information with students, families, colleagues, and other interested parties with other members of the Student Affairs Leadership Team, the Dean of Students creates a culture of learning, safety, well-being and engagement by applying theories and learning outcomes that promote students’ academic and personal success, thereby increasing student progression, retention and timely graduation.

Minimum Qualifications:
A master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience required.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
A PhD from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization preferred.
Salary:
$135,000 – $155,000 per year.
