We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to support daily operations by delivering products to a territory of customers, replenishing vending machines, and ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, physical stamina, and a customer-first attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver products daily to an assigned territory of customers.
- Communicate with the distribution center regarding delivery status and product updates.
- Accurately replenish vending machines at customer sites to maintain correct inventory levels.
- Load and unload delivery orders; ensure appropriate delivery documentation is completed and customer signatures are collected.
- Maintain professional, courteous, and timely communication with all customers.
- Respond quickly to customer demands for restocks and additional product lines as part of their VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) programs.
- Support additional projects and tasks as needed based on business needs.
- Coordinate effectively with the Field Sales team, Sales Manager, and VMI Manager on customer account updates and best practices.
- Prepare and complete delivery or pickup orders as scheduled, including picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age (required to operate company vehicle).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, slide, and lower packages up to 70 lbs.
- Thorough knowledge of the geography and roadways in the assigned territory.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous delivery or route experience preferred; vending or VMI experience is a plus
