Design & Construction Project Manager

The Design and Construction Project Manager is responsible for all efforts associated with successfully overseeing and directly managing multiple University construction projects. This includes all aspects of project management during the planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout phases of the project life cycle. This position collaboratively interfaces with a variety of stakeholders including administrators, staff, faculty, students, Facilities Management Operations, and representatives from authority having jurisdiction including those at the State and local level, along with various professional consultants, contractor and vendors.

Based on experience and education, candidates will be considered for the following levels of Design & Construction Project Manager.
Level I:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Interior Design, Engineering or related field with no experience OR Associate’s Degree with 4 years of experience in project management, program management, construction, interior design, architecture, or engineering practices and principles
Level II:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Interior Design, Engineering or related field with 3 years of experience in project management, program management, construction, interior design, architecture, or engineering practices and principles OR Associate’s Degree with 7 years of experience in project management, program management, construction, interior design, architecture, or engineering practices and principles.
Level III:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Interior Design, Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience in project management, program management, construction, interior design, architecture, or engineering practices and principles.
Level IV:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Interior Design, Engineering or related field with 7 years of experience in project management, program management, construction, interior design, architecture, or engineering practices and principles. 2 years experience must be leading and managing large construction projects or programs.
Level V:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Interior Design, Engineering or related field with 10 years of experience in project management, program management, construction, architecture, or engineering practices and principles. 4 years progressive experience in leading and managing large construction projects or programs.

Level I-IV:
Valid Driver’s License from any state
Level V:
Valid Driver’s License from any state and
Professional Engineer (PE) Or
Registered Architect (RA) Or
AICP Or
NCIDQ Or
Project Management Professional (PMP)
