UNICEF’s Public Partnerships Division (PPD) is responsible for managing the organization’s relations with public sector partners. The UNICEF Seoul Liaison Office, which reports into PPD, is responsible for maintaining and strengthening the partnership between UNICEF and the Government of the Republic of Korea (ROK).

 Rationale for the consultancy

The UNICEF Seoul Liaison Office requires a designer to ensure that the office is best placed to promote the UNICEF brand and capture the results of the organization’s partnership with the Korean Government.  The office created a new brand approach in 2025, which it wishes to expand to a suite of products in 2026.

Purpose of the consultancy

The UNICEF Seoul Liaison Office requires a Design Consultant to support the deepening of UNICEF’s collaboration with the Government of the Republic of Korea.  The consultancy will focus on designing a range of products, including results reports, newsletters, brochures, strategic documents, presentations, and other related materials.

Description of Assignment (Deliverables):

Deliverable 1: Result Report

The Design Consultant will adapt a 42-page English-language 16 Year Results Report (produced in January 2026) into Korean.

Deliverables:

  • Results Report that summarizes 16 years of results and which will be used as the primary advocacy tool with Korean parliamentarians (by end April 2026)

 Timeline: 20 days

Deliverable 2: Brochures

 

The Design Consultant will design two promotional brochures.

 Deliverables:

  • Partnership brochure (English), which summarizes the 16 Year Results Report (3 days by end April 2026)
  • Partnership brochure (Korean) (3 days by end April 2026)
  • Flagship brochure, showcasing three partnership priorities between UNICEF and ROK (English) (3 days by end June 2026)
  • Flagship brochure (Korean) (3 days by end June 2026)

Timeline: Total 12 days

Deliverable 3: Newsletters

The Design Consultant will adapt an existing newsletter template to several partner-focused newsletters.

Deliverables:

  • Update newsletter template (1 day) (by end March 2026)
  • Three Partnership newsletters (English) (3 days) (by end April, end August, end November 2026)
  • Three Partnership newsletters (Korean) (3 days) (by end April, end August, end November 2026)
  • Three DPRK newsletters (English) (3 days)

Timeline: Total 10 days

Deliverable 4: Strategic flagship visibility reports

The Design Consultant will design several visibility/comms-focused reports throughout the consultancy.

Deliverables:

  • Humanitarian Flagship Partnership Report (by mid-July 2026) (4 days)
  • Climate Partnership Report (by end October 2026) (4 days)
  • Global Health/Immunization Report (by mid-December 2026) (4 days)

Timeline: Total 12 days

Deliverable 5: Presentations

The Design Consultant will design a presentation template that the office can use to streamline its public branding when speaking about UNICEF’s work to Korean partners.

Deliverables:

  • Presentation template (by end June 2026) (2 days)

Timeline: Total 2 days

Deliverable 6: Banners and high-visibility materials

The Design Consultant will design banners and other high-visibility materials for strategic engagement and advocacy opportunities with the Korean Government.

Deliverables:

  • Two banners and visibility materials (one by end April 2026 and one by end October 2026) (2 days each)

Timeline: Total 4 days

 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, Public Administration, International Relations, or equivalent

Work experience:

  • Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience, including communication project management in the private or non-profit sectors
