It strives to deliver a streamlined, effective, and insightful approach to financial decision-making that adds value for delivery teams.To help picture your life at please take a look at our and ourKey Responsibilities:Improving financial management and governance in Justice Digital;Building, putting into practice, and continually improving financial processes and reports.More specifically this means:Support improved financial management and governance in Justice Digital:Work with colleagues in your portfolio area and the finance function to build and inform a realistic and well-understood financial forecast;Provide meaningful and accurate data analysis and insight to help colleagues make well-informed decisions;Support colleagues in tracking their budgets and savings targets by monitoring savings opportunities and anticipating potential overspend;Work with colleagues to resolve issues relating to budgets, purchase orders and invoices;Work with colleagues to track financial benefits agreed in business cases and plans;Promote the benefits of good financial management within Justice Digital.Creating and delivering robust financial processes and reports:In line with wider Justice Digital strategy, manage the day-to-day operation of financial processes for a specific area of Justice Digital including:Purchase-to-pay process, including:Creating, tracking, managing and closing Purchase Orders;Working with budget holders and other colleagues to deal with receipting and the release of payments to third-party suppliers;Communicating with budget holders and third-party suppliers around payment schedules, escalating where appropriate.Build, utilise, and continually improve financial reports, performance dashboards and scorecards.If this feels like an exciting challenge, something you are enthusiastic about, and want to join our team please read on and apply!Person SpecificationEssentialHas built and produced finance processes, reports and dashboards;Experience working with large data sets and solving problems;Is comfortable presenting to, and making recommendations to, colleagues and stakeholders;Experience of bringing people from different teams or groups together to deliver a common objective.Willingness to be assessed against for BPSS clearanceThe Civil Service is committed to attract, retain and invest in talent wherever it is found.
