position Summary:

The Digital Order Analyst manages the efficient and accurate processing of customer orders placed through digital sales channels within a distribution environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of digital orders from receipt through fulfillment, while maintaining high service levels and supporting supply chain efficiency. The analyst manages order trends, resolves discrepancies, and collaborates closely with sales, logistics, and IT teams to optimize order fulfillment performance. They are responsible for the overall customer satisfaction and order accuracy programs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage digital order flow from B2C portals, EDI systems, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Validate incoming orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, and stock availability, while analyzing the pricing matrix to recommend and implement adjustments to align company pricing with the industry standard
  • Manage the warehouse, transportation, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Analyze order data to identify patterns, fulfillment delays, and potential bottlenecks in the distribution process to design and implement process improvements that are aligned with the goals of the business
  • Utilize SQL queries to analyze order data in order to identify and implement system enhancements.
  • Review order discrepancies such as backorders, shipment errors, or invoicing issues to design and implement processes that address the root cause and eliminate recurrences
  • Manage dashboards and reports to track KPIs (e.g., fill rate, order cycle time, order accuracy).
  • Manage, design, and implement continuous improvement initiatives in order processing, inventory allocation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement order management and distribution system upgrades.
  • Direct subsidiary team members on how to execute communication plans (based on fulfillment SLA’) on a per order basis as needed to keep the customer informed on the status of their order.
  • Educate and mentor subsidiary staff on the digital order process and how to successfully fulfill those orders.
  • Utilize customer feedback to identify areas that can be improved upon and continue the sales process to increase the opportunity of future purchases from the customer.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in digital order management, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, order-to-cash processes, and inventory management.
  • Experience with ERP and OMS systems (e.g., Infor Web UI/ CSD, Kodaris), and inventory management tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with fulfillment processes including LTL shipping, freight coordination, and warehouse operations is a plus.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) preferred.
  • SQL or other data querying knowledge is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 80% of the time.
  • Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
