The scope of this team encompasses innovation, strategy and purpose, through deep functional experience in business transformation, finance, supply chain and operations, providing support for the complex and large-scale program and portfolio management.

It has multiple fields of play such as:

Finance Consulting – helps assess and transform our clients’ finance function to improve performance and effectiveness. We help organizations implement service and cost improvement initiatives, and embed a performance management process and culture that unites the business around its core objectives.

Business Transformation – a m?ultidisciplinary competency, gathering capabilities in transformation architecture, experience design, business design and transformation execution to problem-solve, design and deliver large scale, multi-year, multi-stakeholder transformation programs.

Supply Chain and Operations – we provide a unique combination of industry-specific, strategic, operational and financial insights, digital technology advances and strategic alliance partners to deliver better outcomes and also help clients effect fundamental change in their operations’ performance to support sales growth, become more cost competitive, minimize risk and ensure operational resilience.

Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

You will lead a client facing high-power team in Metals & Mining and Building Products sector, pursue clients for opportunities across the value chain, win and execute transformational programs for the client. You may also possess and build solution expertise in procurement, logistics, supply chain and operations or sales and distribution as part of this role. While the focus would be on Indian Market, you would also collaborate with teams across geographies in APAC, Middle East, Africa and Europe to win and execute projects. You would also collaborate with various teams within EY – Technology Consulting, Tax, Financial Advisory, etc. to win and deliver cross service programs as part of your role. Experience in delivering digitally enabled projects incl. analytics, SFA, IoT, etc. is also preferred.

Following are the key expectations:

Client service delivery/execution 

Manage multiple projects, engagement economics and receivables, project resources and team utilization.

Lead the delivery / execution of high-quality deliverables and manage service quality, brand and client expectations.

Knowledge Management 

Contribute to brand development by writing articles, developing thought leadership and point-of-views 

Contribute to knowledge development and management through rigorous documentation of pursuits and engagements.

Business development (BD)

Demonstrate significant industry / solution expertise.

Manage clients & accounts and build professional relationships. 

Meet BD targets by identifying new opportunities with existing and new clients.

New solution development relevant for the sector or solution areas 

People Management 

Be a strong team player.

Build a strong team and be a strong role model, mentor and coach.

Assist in resolving people issues.

Support people development through guidance and feedback. 

Take the lead in recruiting activities. 

Ensure compliance to the firm’s standards, processes and policies. 

Contribute to the firm’s initiatives in enhancing market leadership & growth, quality, people agenda and operational excellence.

Skills and attributes

To qualify for the role you must have

Qualification

To qualify for the role, you must have:

MBA (from a premier institute) with a good academic background

At least 10 years of relevant post MBA experience of working in cement or building products sector or relevant consulting background.

Industry experience in two or more of the following:

Metals & Mining Sector – Steel/Aluminium Upstream/Downstream

Cement and other Building Products like roofing sheets, paints, etc.

EPC in any of the infrastructure areas (Oil & Gas, Power, etc.)

Supply Chain – Procurement or Logistics

Sales & Distribution

Manufacturing Operations

Consulting experience in at least three of the areas listed –

Market assessment, Strategy and Business planning

Sales and Marketing improvement / transformation

Strategic Cost Reduction

Supply Chain Management / Transformation

Manufacturing/Operational Excellence

Business process Re-engineering

Digital Transformation through Analytics or other technologies

Experience

At least 10 years of relevant post MBA experience
