The Director of Consultant Relations – Workforce Health Solutions (WHS), reporting to the Vice President, Commercial – WHS, is responsible for crafting and driving the Workforce Health Solutions Consultant Relations strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing relationships and working closely with major industry consultants (e.g. Willis Towers Watson, Aon, Lockton, Mercer) and regional consultants (e.g. Alliant, EPIC, Gallagher, Lockton and others) to educate the consulting community on WHS Products and Services and demonstrating how they create value for client buyers.
Partner with the WHS Sales Leaders, Product, Commercial Operations and Marketing and other stakeholders to develop and execute a strategic plan to engage consultants at the national and regional level.
Expand WHS consultant footprint with specified targets to drive increased sales annually through the consultant channel.
Develop and cultivate relationships with key healthcare practice and consultant leaders across national and regional consulting firms.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all consultant relations. Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with existing partners and develop new relationships to expand our network.
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Medical and Product to create a consultant outreach plan to complement our employer efforts, including benefits messaging specific to consultants.
Attend and/or lead onsite meetings with key consultant groups and represent WHS in key national consultant gatherings.
Coach Sales Leaders and the Sales Team on deals with a goal of increasing new employer clients and retaining/growing existing clients through consultants.
Apply deep expertise in WHS and Quest products and services, inclusive of Population Health, Lab Card, Employment Screening/Testing, Coaching and Disease Management to demonstrate the capabilities of these solutions to impacting employee health and safety while also mitigating healthcare expense.
Collect, synthesize and provide consultant voice-of-customer to Sales, Sales Leadership, Product, Marketing and Operational leaders to drive a best-in-class employer experience and innovation.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of partnership initiatives.
Regularly report on partnership activities, outcomes, and opportunities to senior leadership.
Utilize data-driven insights to refine and improve partnership strategies and tactics through development of consultant playbooks.
A Bachelor’s degree is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in employee benefits, population health or benefits consulting is required. Experience working at or with major industry consultants e.g. Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, Aon, Lockton, Gallagher is strongly preferred.
Proven experience developing strategic plans with a project management background.
Proven ability to lead from the front and model behaviors for matrixed team members to emulate.
Demonstrated ability to present to C-Suite decision makers and at industry events.
Ability to recognize changing business priorities and adjust approach accordingly.
