POSITION SUMMARY:
Manages and coordinates all aspects of the Medical Records department. Prepares and presents appropriate reports and data to Administration, Medical Staff, Board of Trustees, and Process Improvement Committee. Responsible for patient charts, charting forms and storage of medical records.
Experience: APR DRG coding preferred
Must have two years’ reach experience in directing or supervising Medical Records functions. Must have knowledge of Performance Improvement. One year experience in a psychiatric facility is preferred.
Additional Requirements: Must be able to move around the campus. Duties require lifting 1-20 lbs., ability to above and below shoulder level, near vision, ability to hear and speak, ability to sit at a desk approximately 80% of the time. No occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials.
