As Director of Public Health, you’ll be the driving force behind better health and wellbeing, targeting health inequalities with a relentless improvement drive and building on our excellent relationships with NHS partners and other key agencies, as well as with the people of Harrow.You’ll be our principal adviser on health matters, but just as importantly, provide strategic leadership of the continued integration of public health functions and outcomes into all aspects of our work. You’ll develop and implement an innovative and comprehensive public health strategy, along with evidence-based initiatives, to address key public health challenges. You’ll lead our well respected and committed Public Health team, working collaboratively with partners across the council, the NHS, and communities to deliver key outcomes and improve health and wellbeing across Harrow.This exciting, varied and interesting role requires a person experienced in leading the agenda to improve the health and wellbeing of residents, reducing inequalities in health outcomes and protecting our residents and visitors from public health hazards.If you relish a challenge and have the energy, enthusiasm and skills to deliver better outcomes, whilst making a real difference to the lives of our residents, then we would like to hear from you.
