(employee will be working with or have access to children or vulnerable adults and requires a Criminal Record Check)YesJob DescriptionIn accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.Supporting the vision, values, purpose, and commitments of Island Health, including service delivery centered around patients and families: Responsible for leading the operational implementation of strategic initiatives across Island Health to improve the experience of providing care, particularly focusing on the resiliency, wellness, and psychological health and safety (PHS) of our workforce through implementation of the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace (the Standard). Provides consulting services to support the goals and objectives of senior leadership with interventions such as change initiatives, strategy planning facilitation, process re-design, team building, education and training, consulting, and coaching, culture, and respectful workplace development issues. This work is within Island Health commitments to Indigenous cultural safety, anti-racism, and equity, diversity, and inclusion.Travel may be required for this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of Island Health, which may include the use of a personal vehicle.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceA Master’s Degree in the Social Sciences, Organizational Development, Leadership, Adult Learning, Behavioural Science, Psychology, Occupational Health or other equivalent education and training in a related discipline.Seven to ten (7-10) years’ recent related experience in an intermediate to large organization including three to five (3-5) years’ experience of management/leadership in the field of wellness, psychological safety, project management, change management and quality improvement experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Preference given to candidates with work experience in healthcare settings.A valid BC Driver’s License is required.Skills And Abilities

- Demonstrated knowledge of organizational development theory, leadership development best practices and organizational development consulting principles, practices, and methodology.
- Demonstrated expertise in client, team and systems needs assessment.
- Demonstrated expertise in design and development of organization development interventions.
- Strong leadership and change management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams in a complex, unionized environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to analyze data, develop strategies, and implement solutions to address psychosocial risks.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, accreditation standards, and best practices in psychological health and safety.
