Context

The International Training Centre for Human Rights and Sustainable Development (CIFDH/DD) works to promote human rights, protect the environment, combat climate-related diseases, and enhance food self-sufficiency. As part of its activities, the organization aims to develop a structured project to address pressing issues and apply for international funding. The contribution of online volunteers to this drafting mission is essential to producing a high-quality, professional project document that will support CIFDH/DD’s efforts in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking the support of 5 online volunteers who, under the supervision of the CIFDH/DD Programme Officer, will work on the full drafting of a project proposal aligned with our organization’s objectives, including combating climate change, promoting human rights, and fostering sustainable community development.
Specifically, the online volunteers will:- Participate in an orientation session on CIFDH/DD’s goals and strategic priorities;

– Develop the project concept note, including the context, problem statement, objectives, expected results, and success indicators;

– Prepare the detailed activity plan and preliminary budget;

– Identify potential partnerships and include a resource mobilization strategy;

– Draft the final version of the project document in line with the required standards for submission to international donors.

All relevant information, reference materials, and guidance will be provided by CIFDH/DD. Regular communication will take place via Zoom, Skype, or email to ensure follow-up and validation of each stage.

Required Skills and Experience

– Proven experience in drafting development or humanitarian project proposals;

– Strong understanding of logical frameworks, theories of change, and results-based management (RBM);

– Knowledge of international donor requirements;

– Familiarity with issues related to human rights, sustainable development, and/or climate change is an asset;

– Proficiency in English (mandatory) with strong writing skills.
