First year Roto-Rooter service technicians can expect top pay, averaging $70,000. We provide opportunities to increase earnings year over year, even beyond $100,000 per year.

Roto-Rooter provides an initial 8 weeks of paid training, both in the field and the classroom. After a year on the road as a successful Drain Service Technician you will be eligible to enroll in our Plumbing Apprentice Program to become a Journeyman Plumber. 

Journeyman Plumbers at Roto Rooter earn between $100,000 and $150,000 working 40 hours per week Monday – Friday. Working weekends is your choice!

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Inspect drains and sewer lines to diagnose problems.
• Identify blockages, leaks, or other problems within the customer’s drainage system.
• Clear obstructions with your Roto-Rooter drain cleaning machines and tools.
• Educate the customer throughout the process to help them understand what caused their blockage and how to prevent future problems.
