Pay Grade Range: $19.00 – $35.31
Status: This is a full-time; hourly position
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 4:30pm; overtime as needed

JOB SUMMARY: The Driller is responsible for drilling along a marked line so that the material can be efficiently separated by a later mechanical process in accordance with quality standards.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Evaluating the current stability of the block or ledge
• Determining probable movement of the piece during the process
• Developing an appropriate fall protection plan
• Positioning mobile power equipment in a safe location
• Obtaining safe access to the working surface – proper ladder height and usage
• Using all engineering control devices to reduce personal noise exposure levels
• Using and maintaining all dust control devices
• Setting the drill mast securely so as to assure straight quality holes
• Understanding all control functions and gauge readouts
• Understanding what is the proper amount of footage to put on a bit
• Handling drill rods of various lengths
• Basic math skills with the ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Understanding sonar hole locating equipment
