Job Description:

We have an immediate openingfor a Dump Truck Driver/Laborerfor our projects in the Richmond/Petersburg area.
*Must be 21 or older, possess Class A CDL license with no restrictions (Tanker endorsement preferred but not required), have ability to drive straight-shift (manual) truck, possess a good driving record, have a DOT medical card or ability to obtain (requires passing company-paid DOT physical upon hire), and have the ability to work any shift.
**Candidate must be willing to perform labor work when not driving.

SUMMARY

Work on various construction projects by transferring from one task to another where demands require worker with various experience and ability to work with or without close supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive work trucks as needed.
• Drive straight-shift (manual) truck
• Haul materials in dump truck around project site in safe manner.
• Perform maintenance of traffic and flagging.
• Perform job site housekeeping duties.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery.

education and/or EXPERIENCE

• Minimum one-year related experience and/or training.
• Preferred experience with bridge/utility/road work

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Must have Class A CDL license and DOT card.
• Must pass Flagger Certification test to act as flagger.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memo
• Add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100′
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
• Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
• Follow directions
• Handle basic hand tools, such as shovel, pick, broom, hammer, saw, paint brushes, etc.
• Light or heavy handling
• Job site housekeeping
• Flagging
• Erect construction signs, cones, etc.
• Required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
• Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Expected base pay range for this position is:$24/hr – $28/hr

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Kokosing at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
