Job Description

PURPOSE OF position

Assist in the analysis of training tasks required, transition training requirements, and curriculum in support of the E-4B 747-200 to 747-8i Survivable Airborne Operations Center contract for the US Air Force. Effort includes identification of master tasks and associated training tasks for the qualification of ground maintenance positions, support and verification of associated learning objectives, and technical accuracy reviews of content for courseware in development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

education: N/A

Training and experience: Must have maintenance experience in any of the related platforms, E-4B, 747, C-17, or C-5 aircraft.

Desired Experience: Highly preferred previous instructor experience.

General Skills: Strong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude. Possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Detail-oriented with exceptional work ethic. Demonstrated ability to be flexible in work assignments, apply time management best practices, and work with little to no supervision. Ability to travel extensively as required by work assignments.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Security Clearance: Current security clearance of “Secret” or above.

Travel Requirements: Depending on the domicile location, this position may require 100% travel for all work requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for their primary aircraft by providing technical content for courseware.
• Research, assess, and identify job, duty, and task requirements IAW government-provided technical references and manuals.
• Research, assess, and identify related training requirements IAW government-provided technical references and manuals.
• Aid in the development of courseware/monitor courseware currency for assigned aircraft and assigned areas of responsibility.
• Provide content input for all lesson revisions for which they are the primary SME.

• Identify areas of instruction requiring immediate attention.
• Review all aircraft and operations-related publications for updated information to be incorporated into courseware and training materials.
