Purpose of Job
Under the supervision of Principal Managerthe Analyst is responsible for delivering instruments, activities and any other delegated tasks under Advice for Small Businesses Programme in line with strategic priorities of the Bank and SME Finance and Development group (e.g. synergy with banking, green, digital, inclusion) and in coordination with relevant teams (e.g. FI, ICA, Inclusion, Policy and other relevant teams). The Analyst will perform in full alignment with Bank’s policies and procedures, donor requirements, internal control and compliance standards, as well as the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct working with credible and respectable counterparts. The Analyst will be responsible for business development generating pipeline of high quality clients and advisory projects and activities in priority areas (e.g. digital, green, inclusion, innovation) and ensuring synergy with banking (e.g. Integrated Products – Women in Business, Youth in Business; Risk Sharing Facility;, Blue Ribbon, Star Venture). The Analyst will be responsible for clients pipeline development, project conception and implementation/monitoring, evaluation of advisory projects across various sectors and geographies, as well as portfolio management and its assessment. Responsibilities will include market and sector development activities, digital outreach, cooperation with relevant partners and stakeholders, as well as input for visibility activities. The Analyst will also actively participate in and coordinate initiatives within the ASB program.
The Analyst will work with the clients to identify their business needs and identify areas for business advice and potential financing needs. S/he will develop the scope of advisory projects focusing on priority areas, and identify suitable consultants or experts for the assignments.
S/he will manage advisory projects and other initiatives through the stages of conception, implementation, completion and impact evaluation promoting best practices in the project cycle. The Analyst will proactively manage and analyse his/her portfolio of projects ensuring it contributes to high quality of ASB projects and their impact, as well as propose innovative approaches and initiatives based on the portfolio assessment findings. The Analyst will also provide support to other ASB team members and EBRD bankers when needed for need assessment (funding or advice) as well as working alongside them in executing EBRD advisory and banking projects.
The Analyst will support the Principal Managerand interact with clients, consultants, EBRD banking colleagues as well as ASB staff in other countries and in HQ to share knowledge and develop best practice and innovative initiatives.
