McLane is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering, to lead customer development engineering teams delivering scalable, highquality solutions that power our digital supply chain and eCommerce initiatives. This role focuses on leading people, driving reliable delivery, and building customerfacing platforms that enable growth, visibility, and operational efficiency across our distribution network.

This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office at least three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Austin or Temple, TX.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop customerfocused engineering teams
• Own delivery for customerfacing and eCommerce platforms
• Partner with Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Operations
• Drive Agile delivery, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices
• Balance feature delivery with platform stability and technical debt
• Translate business and customer needs into scalable solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of software development experience; 4+ years in a leadership role
• Strong hands-on software engineering background in digital customer experience space.
• Experience delivering enterprisescale, customerfacing or eCommerce systems
• Strong knowledge of modern engineering practices, APIs, cloud platforms, and Agile
• Proven ability to lead teams in fastpaced, operationally critical environments
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
