We are seeking a highly motivated EDA/CAD tool researcher and software developer, preferably with expertise in high-performance scientific computing (numerical algorithms, linear/PDE solvers, computational geometry, distributed processing, OpenMPI, GPU/CUDA).

About Us

The Calibre™ family of tools is the industry leader in EDA/CAD solutions for semiconductor manufacturing, enabling simulations and diagnostics from the transistor to the package level. As the semiconductor industry continues its rapid growth, there is a critical demand for high-fidelity modeling and high-throughput numerical simulations to support the production of stable, high-volume chips at advanced technology nodes.

In this role, you will collaborate with industry leaders to develop cutting-edge tools that drive semiconductor manufacturing and IC design at the most advanced nodes (5/4/3/2/1.4nm and beyond, NAND/DRAM, CIS, and 3DIC/advanced packaging). Your work will directly impact scientific computing challenges within the semiconductor industry.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following education and experience:

Education & Background

  • PhD (or MS + 5+ years of research/industry experience) in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, etc.), with expertise in:

  • Scientific computing: Numerical algorithms (FEM/FD/FVM), linear/PDE solvers, convex optimization, computational geometry.

  • High-performance computing: Distributed processing, OpenMPI, GPU acceleration, CUDA ecosystems.

  • Programming skills: Proficiency in C/C++, CUDA, Python.

  • AI/ML applications: Leveraging AI/ML to accelerate problem solving processes.

  • Semiconductor knowledge (preferred but not required): Process technologies (photolithography, etch, deposition, CMP) and basic semiconductor device physics.

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday

The salary range for this position is $ 177,000 to $ 318,600 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
