An opportunity has arisen to join the Paediatric Disability Distance Learning Team within the Medical Education Team at Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.
Due to a restructure of the team, we are pleased to offer two 0.6 WTE posts (22.5 hours each) where you will provide comprehensive and high quality administrative support to the delivery of our distance learning course, both the Neuro-disability Diploma and the related standalone courses that we offer nationally and internationally.
The suggested working pattern is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for one of the posts and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for the other post. The majority of our learning sessions and meetings take place on a Thursday at the current time.
Duties include the organisation and promotion of the Neuro-disability Diploma and related standalone courses, managing online learning, ensuring course material is up-to-date and within approved formats and attendance at relevant meetings.
You will facilitate financial processes relating to income and expenditure for the course, and schedule the marking process for the year for submitted assignments.
You will work closely with the Education Manager and also provide the link between the students, Course Directors and Clinical providers who support the course.
You will have regular exposure to confidential material and will require a high level of professionalism, discretion and integrity in dealing with internal and external contacts in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills are essential along with the ability to work independently, using your own initiative whilst having the ability to work as part of a team and interact with staff at all levels. Attention to detail is a must and you will be expected to have proven high-quality IT skills and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but enthusiastic and busy team in supporting the Education function in the Trust.
At Sheffield Children’s, our purpose is clear: to provide healthier futures for children and young people. Our three strategic aims are:
We work successfully with local, regional, and national partners to provide physical and mental healthcare across acute and community settings. Many of our clinicians are amongst the best in their field, recognised nationally and internationally for their expertise.
