Godfrey & Wing is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team and help develop innovative automation and control solutions for industrial equipment and manufacturing systems.

This is an opportunity to work on challenging engineering projects in a collaborative environment where your technical expertise will directly contribute to the design, programming, testing, and implementation of advanced control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial machinery and automated equipment.
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC and HMI applications.
• Support system startup, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot controls-related issues and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, schematics, and control system specifications.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to automation and equipment performance.

Qualifications

• experience programming both Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC platforms is required.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation, controls, and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with HMI development, industrial communications, drives, or motion control is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Engineering degree or equivalent controls/automation experience preferred.
