BBSI is partnering with a growing and highly respected electrical contractor in Northridge to hire a seasoned Electrical Project Manager with strong estimating experience. This role is ideal for a leader who can confidently price work, manage multiple territories, and coach teams to deliver exceptional results. position Overview
The Electrical Project Manager will lead projects from bid through completion while managing budgets, schedules, field operations, and client relationships. This individual must bring residential, commercial and industrial electrical experience, along with the ability to coach, train, and develop field teams. This is a leadership role, not just project oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre-Construction
- Perform take-offs and prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates
- Review plans, specs, and bid documents
- Solicit vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Develop competitive, profitable proposals
Project Management
- Oversee multiple projects across LA, Ventura, OC & Riverside
- Develop and maintain budgets and schedules
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Manage procurement and material tracking
- Monitor labor productivity and cost control
- Handle RFIs, change orders, and documentation
- Maintain strong relationships with GCs, property managers, and owners
Leadership & Team Development
- Coach, mentor, and train field electricians and foremen
- Lead by example in safety, professionalism, and performance
- Hold teams accountable to production goals and quality standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Electrical Project Management experience
- 3+ years of hands-on electrical estimating experience
- Strong background in residential, commercial and industrial electrical projects
- Experience managing multi-county territories
- Proven ability to coach, train, and lead teams
- Strong knowledge of single-phase & three-phase systems
- Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)
- Strong budgeting and cost-control skills
- Valid California driver’s license
Preferred:
- Experience with EV installations and panel upgrades
- Familiarity with California Title 24 compliance
- Experience working with property managers and industrial clients
