This position requires that our candidates be available to work nights, weekends, overtime, and unusual hours in case of emergencies and participate in rotational watch duty when assigned. Additionally, they must possess emotional intelligence, a strong work ethic, accountability, and initiative to fulfill the role’s responsibilities effectively.
Install, modify, repair, load, and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, outlets, fixtures, switches, switchboards, panel boards, transformers, and other devices to ensure they operate safely and correctly. Test, repair, or replace parts of worn-out equipment like motors, generators, storage batteries, and timing devices. Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as inspecting, cleaning, oiling, adjusting electrical systems, and locating underground cables as part of the Diggers Hotline Network.
Our Electrician must be available to work nights, weekends, occasional overtime, and at odd hours when emergencies require such duty, and to serve on rotational watch duty when assigned, and possess the emotional intelligence, work ethic, accountability, and initiative to perform the duties of the position effectively.

EDUCATION, TRAININGS, AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates must be a high school or trade school graduate (or equivalent) and have completed an approved electrical apprenticeship, with at least five years of recent paid work experience. Alternatively, individuals may qualify with a high school or trade school diploma (or equivalent) and at least six years of recent paid work experience as a journey-level electrician. The experience should be comprehensive enough to demonstrate the electrical knowledge and skills needed to perform the job.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Electrician Level I: Possession of a valid Journeyman Certification or Industrial Journeyman Electrician Certificate by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services with up to 3 years of experience.
Electrician Level II: Certification as a Master Electrician with the State of Wisconsin and at least 3 years of experience.
