Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

BAE Systems is looking for a new Manufacturing Technician for our Product Introduction Facility (PIF).

The PIF’s mission is to support internal and external customers by bringing some of our new engineering designs to reality. Our technicians work hand-in-hand with our engineering team to design, develop, and produce next generation equipment that would support our warfighters around the world.

The Manufacturing Technician should posses a strong background in electro-mechanical components and a demonstrated ability to work, with minimal supervision, using blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and engineering instructions.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years work experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints per ASME Y 14.5
  • Experience soldering skills in accordance with IPC610 and J-STD-001.
  • Familiarity with common manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of basic mechanical and electrical principles.
  • Proficiency using hand and power tools.
  • Experience with basic electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer skills, including using software for MRP and data collection.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • 4+ years of “hands-on” experience in defense/electronics industry.
  • IPC 620 and 610 certifications
  • Security clearance : Secret Level
  • Experience integrating test consoles/boxes and electromechanical assemblies.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $49440 – $79080

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
