The Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, operating, and maintaining software and firmware components for computing systems. This role supports engineering, scientific, and manufacturing requirements and applies industry standards, processes, and tools throughout the system development life cycle. Applications may include laboratory simulations, flight control and display systems, avionics, mechanical and electrical systems, weapons and armament, commercial and military aircraft systems, mobile and ground-based defense systems, and space systems. The position requires collaboration with customers, suppliers, Application users, and technical support personnel.
Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware components.
  • Apply appropriate standards, processes, and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Support integration of software into engineering and defense systems.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure project success.
  • Perform software integration and testing activities.
  • Contribute to full software life cycle development, including design, architecture, and integration.

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C++.
  • experience in embedded software development.
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Active Secret Clearance (Final).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform software integration and test development activities.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.

education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with full software life cycle development, including design, architecture, and integration/testing.
  • Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and large-scale modeling.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
