Through the delivery of the Training-of-Trainers workshop and coaching of certified trainers and trainee trainers, the consultant will support the installation of the UNCTAD-Empretec programme and strengthen the capacity of Social Development Bank to manage and sustainably grow the programme in Saudi Arabia.

Duties and Responsibilities
With a view to continue strengthening the local training capacity of Saudi certified trainers and trainee trainers, UNCTAD and the Social Development Bank (SDB), which hosts the Empretec programme in the country, wish to organize a 4-day Training-of-Trainers (ToT) workshop in Riyadh, in collaboration with experienced international master trainers. Under the supervision of the Economic Affairs Officer of the Entrepreneurship Section, the incumbent will: 1) Assist the Social Development Bank in the preparation and organization of one (1) Empretec Training-of-Trainers workshop. 2) Discuss and prepare content for the 4-day Training-of-Trainers workshop in coordination with UNCTAD, Social Development Bank and other international trainers involved, taking into account the progress of each participant in their development as certified national trainers or trainee trainers. 3) Conduct one 4-day Training-of-Trainers workshop, scheduled before the end of December 2024. During the workshop, coach and provide feedback to certified trainers and trainee trainers, with a view to helping them improve and enhance their facilitation skills as UNCTAD-Empretec trainers, learn UNCTAD’s procedures and guidelines for the identification and selection of prospective participants, for the organization of Empretec Training Workshops (ETWs) and reporting, and their roles and responsibilities as certified Empretec trainers versus the host institution Social Development Bank and UNCTAD. 4) Prepare, in collaboration with the other international master trainers involved, a detailed report on the Training-of-Trainers and submit it to UNCTAD.
Qualifications/special skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Education, Finance, Communication, Statistics, Engineering/Architecture, or any related area, is required. At least 7 years working experience, preferably in business administration, education, economics entrepreneurship, engineering, training delivery, human resources or any related area, is required. UNCTAD-Empretec Master trainer certificate is desirable.
Languages
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is required. • Knowledge of English is desirable.
