Job Summary/Basic Function

Under general supervision of more skilled personnel, ensure proper maintenance, troubleshooting, and general setup of building energy management system. Provide basic level assistance to Energy Services using Siemens front end software suites: Desigo and Insight. Basic function: Perform daily checks of system data, alarm management, and trends for energy management diagnostics; Work closely with HVAC techs to solve equipment performance issues; Consult and work with more senior personnel in the planning process for maintenance of heating and cooling equipment of all buildings on the campus monitored by the Siemens EMS. Perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned.

Required Education

o High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.

o Within 18 months of hire date, successful completion of a certified commercial facilities maintenance trade program or short term courses in industrial maintenance trades.

Required Related Experience

Demonstrated hands on or equivalent online training in operation of a computerized energy management system and basic principles of operation of heating and cooling equipment.

Desirable License/Registration/Certification

Prior successful completion of a certified commercial facilities maintenance trade program or short term courses in industrial maintenance trades.
