Full-time Permanent role that will be based in either our Bristol (Quayside) or Derby offices.
Element Digital Engineering is a leading provider of specialist engineering simulation, design, and consultancy support to clients across many industries – including Nuclear, Aerospace, Energy and Defence – in the UK and internationally. Our technical work covers everything from using experienced judgement, simple hand calculations and static FEA, through to detailed 3D dynamic and shock analyses. We are always mindful of the need to use the appropriate level of analysis fidelity and a suitable approach so that we produce practical solutions for our clients.
As a part of our team, you will play a central role in providing our clients with: design support, in-service assessments, and verification services. Our clients also often require our structural analysis services to support failure investigations or technical safety assessments. As Digital Engineering is part of the global Element Materials Technology group, our engineering consultancy services also support a range of Testing, Inspection and Certification projects via Element’s various laboratories.
We are looking to recruit an Engineer or Project Engineer with a strong consultancy mindset and demonstrable capability in a range of structural analysis topics. We are committed to the continued development of our in-house permanent staff capability. The position is based in our Bristol or Derby offices, although hybrid and flexible working arrangements can be made available. This position would suit someone relatively early in their career who is looking to develop further as an engineering consultant or to rapidly advance their technical capability.
A Bachelor’s degree (grade 2.1 or above), master’s degree or PhD or in a relevant engineering, science or applied mathematics discipline. Preferably with experience in the application of structural analysis from first principles or in accordance with relevant standards.
