Engineering Data Entry Specialist

Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.

Job Summary:

Enters, maintains, and updates product data into PLM, ERP, and CPQ systems for procurement, manufacturing, and sales. Product data ranges from discrete item entry to bills of materials for assemblies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Creates, validates, and revises item data, item relationships, and BOM records in the Fike business systems.
  2. Follows established Fike procedures for creation of Engineering change orders to maintain robust design control of parts, drawings, and documents.
  3. Develops an understanding of the concepts of discrete, kit, and configurator processing.
  4. Maintains and updates data format for connectivity and translation to various CAD applications such as Altium Designer, AutoCAD and Inventor. Data will be formatted in spreadsheets for mass updates.
  5. Participates in and/or provides support for project teams.
  6. Develops an understanding of Fike products and product documentation.
  7. Reviews and validates service request information against product specifications and identifies discrepancies.
  8. Completes assignments accurately and on-time.
  9. Adheres to the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) policies and procedures related to NIST 800-171 and completes all required CUI Awareness training, which includes collection, processing/handling, transmission, storage, and general safeguarding practices.
  10. Maintains the confidentiality of all information processed.

Performs related duties as assigned. Regular and consistent attendance is required.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the environment is general office work and the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, see, sit, and use hands.

Job Qualifications:

REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with manipulating spreadsheets, knowledge of engineering terminology, and the ability to read and understand electrical design drawings. Basic computer skills. Demonstrated basic math skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

PREFERRED: Technical degree with 2 years experience. Salesforce data entry and maintenance experience. Working knowledge of CAD applications.<s> </s>

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $19.90 to $23.38 per hour. May increase depending on the level of experience of the candidate.
