Engineering Intern- Spring 2026

OUC-The Reliable One, an industry leader and the second-largest municipal utility in Florida, is offering an internship program in the Transformation division.

We are looking for an Engineering Intern – Spring 2026. During the internship, you will be involved in supporting OUC’s Emerging Technologies group in various capacities, from developing data logging scripts, assist engineers in maintaining data logging stations in the field, designing and fabricating 3D-printed parts, and other duties as requested.

Internship Eligibility:

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a degree seeking program.
• Academic status of Sophomore and above.
• Program of study: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to commit to a part-time schedule during January 12, 2026 through May 1, 2026

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Engineering Background.
• Ability to work with spreadsheets (e.g. Excel).
• Developing reports and presentations.
• Data collection skill.

Additional “Nice to Haves”:

• Communication standards (e.g. – Modbus, analog signals, UART, SDI12)
• Working with databases (e.g. – SQL, MongoDB)

Compensation: $18 – $21 per hour, varies depending the education level

Schedule: Part-Time (up to 25 hours per week) – Hybrid Schedule
