Position Summary:

The Engineering Manager has full technical and managerial responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating engineering department assignments. This role also is responsible for new product introduction, cost reduction initiatives and maintenance activities on production parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support engineering department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
• New equipment launch support.
• Provide a strong technical presence & interface with our customers.
• Confers with the engineering team, operations, and sales to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
• Selects, trains, organizes and supervises subordinates to guarantee their effectiveness, and personal growth.
• Develop a pipeline of engineering and leadership through engagement with Co-op and Development programs.
• Provides technical support and guidance to the production departments on new concepts, technical issues and overall manufacturing objectives.
• Champions and supports the Engineering Department’s specific needs and requirements.
• Establishes and executes annual operating budgets with input from Finance Department to support site growth.
• Formulates long and short-range strategies for engineering functions.
• Monthly and weekly forecasting and capacity review.
• Other duties as assigned.

• GibbsCam or Mastercam programming.

education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials or other related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree a plus.
• 2-5 years of engineering experience.
