Description :The engineering Project manager manages major fixed asset and production process improvement projects, which are assigned to him/her in order to increase efficiency with regard to the company’s buildings, equipment and systems. The engineer is responsible for his/her projects and ensures that all project steps are executed in compliance with procedures currently in force (Health & Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, FDA, etc.). The Project Engineer must carefully monitor the project’s quality, as well as its timetable and budget. He/she coordinates the activities of all stakeholders: professionals, contractors, consultants, regulatory agencies, and acts as a liaison with internal clients. Based on department needs, he/she is assigned major projects which require systems analysis and advanced multi-department coordination, ready to assume the responsibility for execution and compliance within the budget of a specific site in the Company’s Capital Plan. The engineer must also participate in the change control process of validated systems.Responsibilities:

  • Plays a leadership role in project planning and execution in concert with clients, professionals, and contractors in order to improve internal enterprise logistics and operations.
  • Assume leadership role as project manager.
  • Follows-up on work execution: budgets, inspections, schedules, meetings, and communications
  • Respect budgets and deadlines
  • Creates and participates in the creation of qualification documents (CC, URS, Commissioning, IQ, OQ, PQ).
  • Defines the needs and prepares feasibility studies for major projects.
  • Updates AutoCAD plans.
  • Ensures collaboration with various departments – Production, Validation, Quality Assurance, Conformity, Documentation and Training
  • Follows-up on CAPAs and puts in place the necessary corrective actions.
  • Executes and supervises tests described in the qualification protocols and participates in the resolution of non-conformities that may arise during the execution of the said protocols.
  • Support the drafting/revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Participates in various audits and follows-up on corrective actions that are related to the Engineering department.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Must have a keen sense of organisation, planning, and priority management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage pressure and adapt to changes.
  • Bilingual French and English; this person will be required to work with suppliers and/or clients located outside the province of Quebec
  • Good sense of communication and urgency (priority management)
  • Promotes sharing and teamwork.
  • Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD, MS Project, and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of SAP

Education : Bachelor

BachelorExperience : 3 years: Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
3 years: Experience with Engineering Project management or equivalentLicences & certifications Ordre des Ingénieurs
