Pay Range: £160 – £240 per day
Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pmAbout the RoleWe’re currently working with a well-respected secondary school in Basingstoke that is looking to appoint an English Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position with the real possibility of becoming a permanent post for the right candidate.The successful teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, within a department that prides itself on collaboration, creativity, and a genuine passion for literature and language.This is a great opportunity for a committed educator to contribute meaningfully to a school that places equal value on academic achievement and student wellbeing. The role is suitable for an experienced English Teacher or an ECT seeking a long term role in a stable English department.What You’ll Be DoingTeaching English to students across KS3 and KS4Planning and delivering lessons that spark interest and stretch learningMarking and assessing work in line with curriculum expectationsWorking collaboratively with the English department to share ideas and resourcesParticipating in the wider life of the school – from extracurricular clubs to school eventsAbout the SchoolThe school is a coeducational secondary based in Basingstoke, known locally for its strong leadership, inclusive ethos, and commitment to staff development.
