• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach KS5
• Design a diverse and inclusive curriculum that fosters critical thinking, literary analysis, and effective communication
• Implement formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and tailor instruction
• Contribute to enrichment programmes such as book clubs, debating societies, and theatre excursions
• Work collaboratively with staff to promote cross-curricular literacy and support whole-school initiatives

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience teaching English at secondary level (although enthusiastic ECTs are strongly encouraged to apply!)
• A genuine passion for literature, language, and student engagement
• Strong classroom management and differentiation strategies
• Commitment to raising achievement and closing the attainment gap
• A growth mindset and dedication to continuous professional development (CPD)
• Confidence in using digital tools and technology-enhanced learning platforms
