We are seeking a motivated and inspiring English Teacher who will lead in; English, Literacy, Reading & Writing and Voice 21 Oracy, to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our children and young people.What you’ll be doing:

  • Build strong relationships with students, fostering a love for English, reading, and writing.
  • Take a proactive role in developing oracy across the curriculum, including leading on the Voice 21 initiative to enhance students’ spoken communication skills.
  • Lead and innovate in English teaching, embedding effective strategies for literacy and reading development.
  • Support students in developing independent learning skills, helping them to express themselves confidently in both written and spoken language.
  • Participate in school activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development opportunities.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A qualification in SEND education is desirable.
  • Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC
  • Experience in teaching English
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods.

This position comes with TLR 2 responsibilities, recognising the leadership required in English, literacy, reading & writing, and oracy development.There is the potential for additional TLR responsibilities for the right candidate who brings further expertise beyond the outlined Person Specification.Why join us?
