Environmental Corporate Manager

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain a global environmental management system and metrics to support all manufacturing and branch facilities.
  • Devise, plan, and implement environmental policies, programs, and standards in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Develop, manage, and review waste disposal for all operations.
  • Work directly with manufacturing and branch operations on environmental issues and concerns.
  • Analyze environmental monitoring data and prepare compliance reports.
  • Develop environmental training for employees to ensure understanding of environmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, collaboration, and direction to the corporate EHS engineers responsible for environmental tasks.
  • Manage all communications including internal, external, and environmental events.
  • Advise Director of Corporate Environmental and Manufacturing Safety on compliance concerns and preventative actions.
  • Coordinate environmental audits of all operations.
  • Stay current with regulations and industry standards.
  • Respond to environmental requests from any company operation, customer, or management.
  • Assign work, develop, mentor, and coach direct reports.
  • Develop, observe, and report on key performance indicators and progress. Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact of the Company’s activities.

Qualifications

  • 8-15 years related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Physical or Environment Science, Engineering)
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations.
  • Preferred two to four years’ experience in EHS process operations in a commercial or manufacturing environment.
  • Must have situational awareness and high emotional intelligence.
  • Position requires frequent travel (6-20%) with frequent overnight stays (6-20%)
  • Required to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday.
