About ERM Korea
ERM Korea supports South Korean conglomerates in managing sustainability challenges in their overseas projects; in developing sustainability strategies and compliance assurance programs for their global operations; by drawing on the expertise of ERM’s global network to help our South Korean Clients understand and manage sustainability challenges in whichever territory they operate. ERM’s team of South Korean and international professionals based in Seoul are ideally suited to helping our global Clients to successfully navigate the South Korean business environment. ERM provides an unrivaled service offering for both local and international companies within the Korean peninsula.
We are currently looking to add a Senior Consultant to our Sustainable Operation team. The position is full-time and will be based in Seoul, Korea.
Responsibilities
- Technical: Leading a variety of projects with an emphasis on EHS compliance, due diligence, management systems development, strategy development, and auditing.
- Project Management: Ensuring the right resource assignment, realistic planning, development of outputs in the right quality, delivery on time, communication with the client independently, and the development of optional solutions to the issues facing in the project execution.
- Clients: Understanding client needs in verbal and written communication, maintaining and developing client relationships, preparing proposals independently based on accurate understanding, and supporting marketing/sales initiatives.
- Knowledge and experience in Health and Safety compliance management including auditing.
- Open to travel and limited secondment opportunities.
- Open to various experiences provided by ERM.
- Flexible teamwork skills to support other team members in various situations.
- Accurate, but soft communication skills; and
- Soft and gentle human resource management attitude.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental engineering, Health & Safety, chemical, etc.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in EHS management or consultancy.
- Preferred experience in EHS assessment including audits and due diligence.
- Experience in health and safety is mandatory.
- Proven project management experience, preferably including multi-discipline and multi-site projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication and data presentation skills in Korean and English.
- Skill to review the reports written in Korean and English and suggest better options.
- Consultancy skills and experiences of working within a consulting environment are advantages.
- Project management and people management experiences are advantages.
- EHS planning, reporting, and management experience in global companies is preferred.
- Capacity to work independently and proactively on time; and
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
