This position is in the Drinking Water Section of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Southwest Regional Office at 2040 W. Woodland St., Springfield, MO 65807.

• Conduct compliance inspections and concern investigations of public water systems.
• Prepare detailed communications including inspection reports, concern investigation reports, compliance assistance reports, contact logs, and other documents.
• Conduct bacteriological sample investigations to determine compliance with the Revised Total Coliform Rule (RTCR) and Ground Water Rule (GWR).
• Conduct field assessments of public water systems to determine a potential cause of bacteriological positive samples.
• Provide assistance to public water systems to ensure compliance with Missouri Safe Drinking Water Law.
• Collaborate with Drinking Water Section team members to ensure the Section goals are met.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
• A valid Missouri State Driver’s License

• Reading Comprehension: Understands and interprets written material, including technical material, rules, regulations, instructions, reports, charts, graphs, or tables; applies what is learned from written material to specific situations.

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

• A Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, physical sciences, or a closely related field, and 0 – 4 or more years of relevant experience.
