Reports To: Senior Director of Equipment Maintenance
Shift: B Shift – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday 5:45 pm – 6:15 am

About the Role

The Shift Equipment Maintenance Supervisor – leads shift execution with a primary focus on highquality preventive maintenance, reduction of unscheduled maintenance activity, and firstpass qualification of equipment. This role is accountable for stabilizing tool performance, improving availability consistency, and ensuring maintenance work is planned, executed, and qualified correctly the first time. The Shift Supervisor directly supervises Equipment Maintenance Technicians, enforces disciplined PM execution, drives CoV availability and MRatio performance, and serves as the primary equipment interface with Production during the assigned shift.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Leadership & Supervision

• Lead and supervise Equipment Maintenance Technicians with a strong emphasis on planned work execution, PM quality, and disciplined maintenance practices.
• Assign work based on tool criticality, PM schedules, technician capability, and risk to production.
• Maintain strong floor presence to ensure maintenance activities are executed to standard and without rework.
• Conduct structured shift handoffs with clear communication of tool status, PM completion, qualifications, and residual risk.

Preventive Maintenance Execution & Priority Control

• Own PM execution during the shift, ensuring PMs are completed on time, to standard, and with minimal postPM disruption.
• Actively manage and reduce unscheduled maintenance activity by reinforcing PM quality, adherence to procedures, and early issue identification.
• Balance immediate recovery actions with longterm equipment stability and maintenance discipline.
• Escalate missed PMs, repeat failures, and systemic execution gaps with clear data and impact assessment.

Performance Metrics, PM Quality & Reliability

• Drive PM performance as a primary lever for improving CoV availability and MRatio, reducing variability and nonproductive time.
• Ensure firstpass qualification (FPQ) of equipment following PM and corrective maintenance, minimizing repeat interventions and production disruptions.
• Monitor and address drivers of unscheduled downtime, including incomplete PMs, execution errors, and qualification escapes.
• Review shiftlevel performance data to identify trends impacting availability, variability, and equipment stability.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for repeat failures, PM escapes, and qualification issues.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation of PM execution, maintenance actions, qualifications, and downtime events in CMMS and fab systems.

5S, Safety & Maintenance Discipline

• Enforce 5S standards to support efficient, errorfree maintenance execution and rapid response when required.
• Promote a strong safety culture with strict adherence to LOTO, chemical handling, and cleanroom protocols.
• Audit maintenance practices, tool readiness, and spare part condition to prevent executiondriven failures.
• Address safety and quality deviations immediately and ensure corrective actions are sustained.

Communication with Production & CrossFunctional Teams

• Serve as the primary Equipment Maintenance contact for Production during the shift.
• Communicate tool readiness, PM completion status, FPQ confirmation, and risks to CoV or MRatio performance.
• Participate in production escalations, shift meetings, and passdowns with clear, factbased status updates.
• Partner with Equipment Engineering and Process Engineering to close gaps impacting PM effectiveness and equipment stability.

Technician Development & Accountability

• Coach technicians on PM execution quality, procedural compliance, and qualification discipline.
• Reinforce accountability for reducing repeat maintenance, rework, and postPM issues.
• Provide feedback on technical capability, execution consistency, and ownership behaviors.
• Build a culture focused on doing the work right the first time, not reacting to avoidable downtime.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in electronics, mechatronics, or industrial equipment maintenance.
• 3-5 years of semiconductor fab equipment maintenance experience.
• Prior experience leading technicians or serving as a lead in a shiftbased environment.
• Strong understanding of PM execution, equipment availability metrics, and maintenancedriven variability.
• Working knowledge of CMMS systems, maintenance reporting, and fab safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in semiconductor Equipment Maintenance.
• Experience supporting advanced process tools (etch, deposition, lithography, CMP, diffusion, etc.).
• Demonstrated success reducing unscheduled maintenance through improved PM quality.
• Strong communication and prioritization skills in a highvolume manufacturing environment.

What We Offer

Salary: $90,000-$125,000 per year + 14% shift differential (good-faith estimate; dependent on experience and skills)
