All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Schedule:** Ful-Time **Shift** : Nights – 7pm to 7am **The community you’ll be caring for:** AdventHealth Waterman – 1000 WATERMAN WAY, Tavares, 32778 **The value you’ll bring to the team:** · Responsible for assisting the charge nurse and/or primary nurse with patient care throughout the department as assigned · Assists and coordinates the immediate off-load of patients arriving via EMS with the primary nurse and/or charge nurse · Collaborates with the primary nurse to assist in the implementation of appropriate physician orders to expedite patient care · Obtains specimens within a timely manner of arrival · Promptly notifies the physician and/or primary nurse of untoward changes in a patient’s condition · Monitors cardiac/telemetry status and vital functions of all patients · Demonstrates competency of EKG’s and cardiac monitoring · Performs the role as assigned during ACLS protocols · Assists with the replenishing of crash cart supplies and other essential equipment · Proficient in the use and maintenance of emergency equipment · Demonstrates competency in all procedures within the scope of practice as a CNA or EMT · Documents treatment and administered care proficiently in the electronic medical record · Documentation compliant with established policies and procedures · Performs as a Unit Liaison. · Demonstrates skills to include but not limited to physician communication, maintaining electronic logs, EMS radio support, and coordinating patient transports · Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols · Maintains professionalism in a fast-paced environment and exhibits an attitude of teamwork · Follows “Always The Best” guideline Qualifications **The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:** **REQUIRED:** · High school diploma or equivalent · Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language · Performs basic skills completely to include but not limited to: patient transport, EKGs, telemetry monitoring, intake & output, vital signs, specimen/culture collection, phlebotomy, dressing applications, oxygen administration via simple airway management (nasal cannula or mask), personal hygiene assistance, chest tube set-up, splint applications, blood glucose monitoring, and foley catheter placement. **PREFERRED:** · Preferred one year healthcare of field experience.
