Spaceport Infrastructure and CSG Range Renewal Senior Project Manager, Launch Range Operations and Representation at CSG, Infrastructure and Value Chain, Directorate of Space Transportation.
ESA contributes to the funding of the Guiana Space Centre: in the Directorate of Space Transportation, the Launch Range Operations and Representation at CSG (STS-IR) is responsible for the maintenance, renovation and modernisation of the Spaceport through the ESA/CNES CSG contract. The Core Launch Range Renewal (“CLRR” or CSG-NG) investments, including a new Operations Centre (Centre des Opérations, CDO), will enhance the CSG Range’s capability by improving its efficiency, availability, reliability and flexibility. Successful development of these new systems is crucial for Europe’s access to space.
In that context, you will be responsible for a portfolio of ground segment activities to maintain and modernise the CSG Range, namely the Core Launch Range Renewal project . You will also represent on site, when requested, the Head of the STS-IR Division vis-a-vis ESA partners.
You will report directly to the Head of Launch Range Operations and Representation at CSG and, within the framework of ESA/CNES contract, you will be in charge of:

A master’s in an engineering discipline is required for this post.
Previous international experience with space agencies and companies is an asset, as well as, knowledge of AGILE development experience in diverse activities relevant to the responsibilities of this position.

In principle, recruitment will be within the advertised grade band (A2-A4). However, if the selected candidate has less than four years of relevant professional experience following the completion of the master’s degree, the position may be filled at A1 level.

During the recruitment process, the Agency may request applicants to undergo selection tests. Additionally, successful candidates will need to undergo basic screening before appointment, which will be conducted by an external background screening service, in compliance with the European Space Agency’s security procedures.
