For every child, the right to 

1. Background

UNICEF Georgia Office seeks to update its roster of local qualified graphic designers to support the development of high‑quality communication and visibility materials on an ongoing basis. Designers will provide services on demand, depending on programme and communication needs.

The selected consultants will create visual assets in line with UNICEF’s global branding, accessibility, and digital communication standards.

This announcement aims to establish a roster of pre‑qualified local graphic designers who may be contacted for future assignments. Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee that a contract will be issued. Contracting will depend on UNICEF’s needs, budget availability, and the best match of skills for each specific task.

2. Objectives of the Assignment

The purpose of this roster is to ensure timely access to skilled graphic designers capable of producing print, digital, and social‑media‑ready products, including but not limited to publications, infographics, illustrations, branding materials, layouts, and campaign visuals.

3. Key Tasks and Deliverables

The consultant/s will:

 Design & Layout

  • Provide creative, innovative, and user‑friendly design concepts for print and digital products.
  • Develop layouts for brochures, reports, fact sheets, posters, invitations, certificates, newsletters, social media materials, and other visibility assets.
  • Prepare dynamic and engaging digital content suitable for social media, web, and multimedia channels.

 Collaboration & Concept Development

  • Receive edited text, photos, and briefs from UNICEF.
  • Propose at least three initial design concepts for each assignment in line with UNICEF Branding Guidelines.
  • Revise designs based on UNICEF feedback.

 Technical Delivery

  • Produce final print‑ready files, ensuring compliance with professional printing standards.
  • Prepare optimized digital versions for web, mobile, and social media usage.
  • Liaise with printing houses recommended by UNICEF and resolve all technical/production issues.
  • Maintain an archive of all UNICEF-developed materials.

 Additional Graphic Work

  • Create illustrations, icons, diagrams, and infographics.
  • Develop visual elements for presentations, packaging, branded items, and event materials.
  • Provide guidance on colors, typography, accessibility, and layout best practices.

4. Duty Station

The consultant should be based in Georgia, working remotely from their own workspace with access to all necessary equipment and licensed software.

5. Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Proven professional experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio.
  • Advanced skills in industry-standard software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; knowledge of Figma or similar is an asset).
  • Experience producing materials from initial concept to final printed/digital product.
  • Strong knowledge of printing processes, color management, and digital optimization.
  • Good understanding of modern digital communication formats and emerging visual trends.
  • Ability to ensure brand consistency and follow detailed guidelines.
  • Fluency in Georgian and English.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Access to a fully equipped workstation with licensed design software.

6. Performance Indicators

Performance will be assessed based on:

  • Timeliness of deliverables
  • Quality and creativity
  • Responsiveness and communication
  • Adherence to UNICEF branding and technical specifications
  • Ability to incorporate feedback efficiently

  • PowerPoint slide decks / branded templates

This list is not exhaustive, and UNICEF may request design support for additional formats or specialized visual products as communication needs evolve. Designers included in the roster may be engaged on an as-needed basis, depending on the scope, urgency, and relevance of each assignment. Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee contract issuance, and task-specific contracts will be offered only when the consultant’s skills and availability best match UNICEF’s requirements.
